Isla Roots Hostel is a backpackers eco-paradise, come and live a unique private island experience. There are many interesting spots you can reach from our facilities and awesome activities and tours to explore the reef, practice activities at sea and just enjoy the island life.

One way and return $302.000COP
– Cartagena – Tintipan route
The boat leaves the dock of the bodeguita gate 4 at 9 am. (it is important to arrive at 8:15 a.m.). The tour has an average duration of 2 hours and costs 130.000 COP per person per trip (+$20.000 COP of entrance tax to the national park -this is paid only once per person-).
From Tintipan public beach to IslaRoots are (15.000COP per person)

– Tintipan – Cartagena Route
The boat departs from Islote (7.000COP per person) leaving San Bernardo Islands at 12 noon (arriving in Cartagena at 2 pm approx.) As with any other maritime transportation service we have restrictions on weight and luggage space, which is limited to one carry-on bag weighing less than 8 k (accepted size for airplane cabin).

– Tolú Club Náutico Altamar
It has boats every day at 8:30 am from the pier in Tolú, with a value per trip of $ 60,000 COP, a duration of 60 minutes. For the return trip arriving in Tolú at 3:30 pm approx. They also offer transfers from Montería and Coveñas.

– Rincón Del Mar
You can take a bus from the transportation terminal in Cartagena to San Onofre (the trip takes approximately 3 hours). There you take a transport (cab or motorcycle cab) to Rincón Del Mar that takes about 20 minutes and finally a boat that travels to the islands or an express that leaves you in Isla Roots. Hostel, the trip takes approximately 15 – 20 minutes.
